JANE OF WHAT TRADE/S Before I became a mum 6 years ago, I was a successful Primary School Teacher and loved my job as a team leader supporting teachers and the best part was working with my students.
I now run my own online global business in Health & Wellness with a Social Marketing company called Arbonne. I am an Executive Area Manager in Arbonne which is the 2ndof 4 levels of Management. It’s the level just under receiving a White Mercedes Benz paid for by Arbonne.
WHAT IS ARBONNE Arbonne transforms lives from the inside out through premium, vegan and chemical-free products. Products that are pure and safe with botanically-based ingredients backed by science and clinical studies.
What I love about Arbonne is that it gives me a platform to help others and add value to people’s lives.
WHY ARBONNE I was a loyal product user for 2 years before I decided to join Arbonne. Once I became educated about this profession and the company, it was simply a no-brainer for me to start my own online business while living abroad.
The advantages mean that I can simply take my business where ever I go and when we eventually return home to New Zealand. I fell in love with the products because of the results and now I simply love that I share products I truly believe in.
I also came to the realisation that although I loved my previous job, going back to a 9-5 job would not give me the life, the choices, the freedom, the time and the fulfilment that Arbonne can give my family and I.
This was my opportunity to have a back-up plan in place for us as a family and will allow my husband to pursue what he is passionate about in life after rugby, when the time comes for him to retire.
ARBONNE GOALS My goal in my business is to go to the top of this company and help as many people achieve the same for themselves and their families.
I want to be a Top Award Winning Achiever and also a key note speaker at our company’s annual conference, to inspire others to walk in their truth and chase their dreams.
I want my business to grow globally, and especially to be established in New Zealand where I’m from and also here while I’m living in the UK.
CHALLENGES Being away from my own family and friends. Not having the support network we would usually have if we were back home in New Zealand, that can be challenging.
However, between my husband and I, we’ve really figured out a great system at home that works and having a hands-on, supportive husband makes all the difference.
DOTING WIFE OR INDEPENDENT WOMAN I’m so grateful that my husband’s career has allowed me to be at home for the past 5 years and raise our children. For me personally I was always wanting something more, to do more, be more and give more – something for myself that would allow me to contribute financially to my family, because I knew I was capable, but also give me a real sense of purpose.
Because of Arbonne, life is more meaningful. As a wife of a rugby player, I no longer need to be dependent on my husband, which is such a great feeling.
GIVE US THE LOW DOWN – MAMA WORK-LIFE BALANCE This is the very reason why I joined Arbonne. Because a lot of what I do in my business is based online, which I love. This allows me to still be present for my children and support my husband in his career while living abroad. I can simply run my business back in New Zealand when we look to return home.
RUGBY LIFE HIGHS I feel so grateful my husband’s career gives us the opportunity to see the world and live abroad. This has allowed us to travel to parts of Europe, explore Scotland and visit so many beautiful places on this side of the world. We have created some great memories as a family that we can take away with us and have met some beautiful people along the way.
RUGBY LIFE LOWS Managing injuries and setbacks, the physical and mental challenges that come with the profession and the uncertainty of contracts, as the reality is it’s a competitive sport.
RUGBY FAN GAL MOMENT There’s a few special moments for me, when Lelia debuted for The All Blacks in 2008 against Italy in Christchurch and I flew there to watch him, it was such a surreal feeling to witness. But equally the year Lelia won his 2nd Super Rugby Title with The Chiefs in 2009, our daughter Avia was about 6 months old and she is seen on TV with him receiving his award, proud moment.
WAG LIFE SECRET What you see is not always the full picture. Although this life can seem amazing, there’s a lot of sacrifices involved, dealing with the ups and downs of a competitive sport, setbacks and disappointments, injuries and living away from family can be challenging too.
5 YEARS TIME I will be at the Top of this company, with a global expanding team and earning a 7-figure income, as I want to be financially secure by the age of 40.
My husband will be able to retire from his career and my business will give him the flexibility to pursue what he is passionate in life.
WISE WORDS OF WISDOM Just Do It – Life is too short to be worried about what other people think of you and how you should live your life. At the end of the day no one else is going to live your life for you so Live Big and Go All Out for who you’re meant to be and what you’re called to do.
If you keep doing what you’re currently doing, will you be better off in 2-5 years? If the answer is ‘no’ then this could be a great opportunity for you to take a look into this. There really isn’t anything to lose but everything to gain here. The only risk you run is getting healthy and have amazing products.
